Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-28

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies the atomira.eu website uses, why it uses them, and how you can manage them. It is a companion to our Privacy Policy. If anything here conflicts with the Privacy Policy, the more privacy-protective wording applies.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They are used to make a site work, to remember preferences, and — when they are not necessary — to measure how people use a site or to show personalised content. Spanish law (LSSI-CE Art. 22) and EU law (ePrivacy Directive, GDPR) require us to tell you what cookies we set and, for non-essential cookies, to get your consent first.

2. Our position on cookies

atomira.eu is a marketing site and we keep its cookie footprint as small as we can. We do not run analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking on this site today. If that ever changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.

3. Categories of cookies

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the site to function and to honour choices you make (such as your language). They are exempt from consent under LSSI-CE Art. 22.2.

Functional cookies

These improve usability beyond the bare minimum (for example, remembering a sign-in across visits). The administrator sign-in cookie below falls in this category for the administrator only; visitors never receive it.

Analytics cookies

Used to measure traffic. atomira.eu does not set analytics cookies today.

Advertising / tracking cookies

Used to profile and target users across sites. atomira.eu does not set advertising or tracking cookies today, and we have no plan to do so.

4. Cookies actually set by atomira.eu

Strictly necessary

  • locale — first-party cookie set by atomira.eu. Stores the language you prefer (en, es, ca) so the site loads in the right language next time. Lifetime: 1 year. Contains no personal data beyond the language code.

Functional (administrator only)

  • next-auth.session-token — first-party cookie set by atomira.eu only when an administrator signs in to the back office. Used to maintain the admin session. Lifetime: session-bound, expires on sign-out or after inactivity. Visitors to the public site never receive this cookie.

Third-party cookies

None. atomira.eu does not embed third-party widgets that drop cookies (no social-media share buttons that auto-load, no embedded analytics, no ad networks).

5. How to manage cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. Because atomira.eu uses only strictly-necessary cookies and (for admins) a session cookie, blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading the site — but blocking the locale cookie means the site will fall back to its default language on each visit.

6. International transfers

The cookies set by atomira.eu are first-party only and are processed on EU infrastructure (Hetzner, Germany / Finland). No cookie data is exported outside the European Economic Area today.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how cookies are used on the site, or to reflect changes in the law. The latest version will always be at this page, and the 'Last updated' date at the top will reflect when it changed.
